Pastor's Corner
March 2010
Calendar
This month is not quite as full as last, but still some very important ministry opportunities and time to prepare for our Good Friday and
Easter outreach. There are three very important ways to help us prepare. First, join us for the work day on Saturday, March 20th from
8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Our trustees do a wonderful job planning out the workday and you can be assured that your time will be well
spent and a great help to the ministry. We have a number of cleaning projects, organizing projects and outside landscaping issues to
address. Many hands make light the load and provide us an opportunity to grow together as we labor together in the Lord's work.

Second, join us for Operation Good neighbor on Saturday, March 27th from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Remember, we can use homemade
baked goods (cookies, muffins, breads) and people to help us deliver them to our neighbors. We will be inviting them out to our Good
Friday and Easter Services. Also, you can pick up invitations and church brochures for your own neighborhood.

Third, join us for our Concert of Prayer on Sunday, March 21st as we ask our Lord to work in lives and help us be more effective in
outreach. Corporate prayer is an important aspect of our worship and I ask you to make this time of prayer a priority. We need to
humble ourselves in the Lord's presence and ask Him to do great things for the sake of His Name. Also, we will take time to share our
praises to the Lord on Wednesday, March 24th at 7 p.m. Our joy in the Lord should be evident in our praise.

Please plan on taking part in our family activity, The Berea Grand Prix, on Saturday, March 13th. It is a joy to spend time together as a
church family and enjoy each other's creativity and friendly competition. Get your car kit and use the creative abilities the Lord has
given you. Come out and help us pick a people's favorite. Then sit back and enjoy the fun, as your cheer on your favorite car(s).

Our memory verse for the month, Psalm 62:8, reminds us that we can trust God in every circumstance of life. The Psalmist invites us to
pour out our hearts before the Lord knowing that He is the source of our security. Ask the Lord to help us meditate on this verse
throughout the month and learn the peace that comes from unshakable trust in His goodness to us.

Psalm 62:8 Trust in Him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart, before Him: God is a refuge for us.

Let this truth reverberate in your heart — God is our Refuge, in Him is our trust. Finally, if you are doing the 90 Bible reading challenge,
you will be reading through the New Testament for your 3rd time in this month. May the Word be sweeter than honey to our tastes and
more valuable than gold in our affections! As the Psalmist reminds us, it is only by taking heed to the Word that our ways will be
cleansed and our hearts purified.
